TV Time: Monday, December 31, 2007 New Years Eve

New Years means one thing: Parties and College Bowls
...
...
Ok, I guess two things
Bowl schedule later

First Local TV Time:
Tons of Hoops:
UW, Gonzaga, Oregon State and the Sonics all in action and all on FSN!! That's right FSN has 4 straight Basketball games

  • Montana State vs. OSU at Noon
  • Washington vs. Idaho State at 3:00 - With just 5 days until the opening Pac-10 game in the Apple cup of Basketball and coming off of a huge win at LSU can the Dawgs gain momentum?
  • Gonzaga vs. Utah at 5:00 - Zags on a slide, looking to pick up a win in the same place that the Cougars faltered last year
  • Sonics vs. 76ers at 7:00 - In the pro part of our 4 way the sonics look to pick up a win in the city of brotherly love.

Basketball not your thing? How about New Year College Football!

  • Kick it off with Cal and Air Force in the Armed Forces Bowl (9:30AM on ESPN)

Then there is a tough choice... Sun Bowl or Humanitarian Bowl?

  • Sun Bowl: Oregon vs. USF (11AM CBS)
  • Humanitarian Bowl (In Boise!): Fresno State vs. GA Tech (11AM ESPN2)

After that...

  • Music City Bowl: Florida st. vs. Kentucky (1PM ESPN)
  • Insight Bowl: Indiana vs. Oklahoma St. (3PM on the NFL Network... Don't have NFL-N? Toobad... No CBS/NBC thing here....)
  • Finally Chick-Fil-A bowl (Man I love Chick-Fil-A. They had one at this airport I went to. I was good!) Auburn vs. Clemson (4:30 on ESPN)

After that it's time to party until the clock strikes Midnight... and beyond....

Final Playoff schedule

Well, the Redskins won. Which means that next weekend is a matchup reminisant of the 2005 superbowl run. It's a Saturday 1:15 matchup on NBC Followed by Jags and Steelers. On Sunday it's G-Men at Bucs at 10:00 on FOX then Titans at Chargers on CBS at about 1:00.

Hawks lose... Also I hate 10:00 starts

Well it was ugly, but they had a chance to win it in the end. The onside kick was lost by a Nate Burleson's knee... Redman was actually pretty good for Atlanta, as was Morris for the Hawks. Bursts of speed and finding the holes... At least in the second half.

In a related story, my cell phone alarm failed to go off when I set it at 9:55. Which led to be waking up at the two minute warning in the first half. I ran downstairs after throwing on my #38 strong jersey and was amazed to see a close game, 17-17. I thought for sure that the Hawks would blow them out.

But alas... It was a good... Well at least a close game.

Heres to no more 10:00 AM starts: for my sake and the Seahawks.

Saturday, December 29, 2007

TV Time: Sunday December 30

Local:

Seahawks gameday
Game 16 vs. Atlanta
10:00 AM on Fox (13 in Seattle)

Ahh... The final Seahawk game of the regular season of the year. But these Falcons and their QB Michael Vick... Oh jail. DJ Shockly? Nope, knee. The former Duck Harrington? Nope. Leftwich? Again no. Who's starting? Redman? Well at least they have Patrino at coach and hired The Big Tuna to run things... Right?

OK, so things are a mess in the deep south but don't underestimate any team with these Hawks ("There's no way we will lose to the horrible Panthers!")

National:
NFL Pick of the week
Who will the Hawks face next week in the playoffs?

Cowboys at Redskins
'Skins win and they're in!
1:15 PM Fox (13 Seattle)

Now if the Redskins lose...

Minnesota is in if they win at Denver (No TV)

If they both lose...

New Orleans is in if they win at Chicago (No TV)

If all three lose, then the Hawks face the RedSkins.

Enjoy your Sports Sunday... Go Hawks!
